The Caminos Del Inka String Quartet is emerging as the leading U.S.-based chamber ensemble dedicated to the performance of music from South America.
Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Founder and Artistic Director of Caminos del Inka, envisioned the ensemble as an opportunity to share the rich musical tradition of the Americas through the intimate and pure experience of chamber music. In its growing repertoire are works by both well known and lesser known composers spanning several centuries of the classical music tradition.
Comfortable with both the traditional and contemporary, the ensemble offers superbly unique and exciting interpretations of works by Alberto Ginastera, Osvaldo Golijov, Gabriela Lena Frank, Diego Luzuriaga, Miguel del Águila, Sebastián Errázuriz and Diego Vega to name but a few.
The quartet continues to make great progress in presenting forgotten gems of the classical repertoire of the Americas and solidifies its mission to draw new audiences to classical and chamber music.
The Caminos del Inka String Quartet frequently joins forces with flutist Jessica Warren-Acosta to offer lively performances of works which embody the rhythmic and lyrical energy of this music.
